Cookies cannot be used by anyone else who has access to the computer to find out anything about you, other than the fact that someone using the computer has visited a certain website.
The cookies we use are completely safe. In fact, many of them are used purely to provide important security features such as protecting your data and your accounts.
We use email analytics and reporting tools to see how many of our emails are opened and which links receive the most clicks. Knowing which articles and topics our customers like and which they don't like helps us improve our content and make our emails more relevant.

We use this information to help us plan how we should improve the website.
Adobe Analytics uses a cookie to track the number of unique users of the site. It basically tells us whether we have a small number of regular visitors to the website or a large number of infrequent visitors. None of the information can be traced to an individual – we do not know who you are as a unique user, merely that there are a certain number of people using the website. The cookie only relates to what goes on in the HSBC website and the information cannot be used for marketing on an individual basis.
Bahrain enacted Law No. 30 of 2018 with respect to Personal Data Protection (PDPL) on July 12, 2018. The PDPL entered into force on August 1, 2019 and represents a significant change to the way that data is protected in Bahrain.
The PDPL provides individuals with certain rights in relation to how their personal data can be collected, processed and stored, and imposes new obligations on how businesses manage and process personal data and keep it secure.
At HSBC we have always taken data privacy very seriously and we believe the introduction of the PDPL is really positive – giving you more control over how organisations use and manage your data.
PDPL provides you with more transparency regarding your personal data. It strengthens your rights, giving you improved access to your data and the right to review and, in certain circumstances, edit or delete the information that organisations store about you.
PDPL doesn't change the ways we use your personal information.
We’ll continue to value the data you share with us, treating it with respect and keeping it secure at all times. We’ll continue to contact you appropriately about services that may benefit you, unless you’ve asked us not to.
So whilst the laws might have changed, our commitment to looking after your data stays the same.
We updated our Privacy Notice to add clarity to how the data about you and your connected persons is handled and processed by HSBC Bank Middle East Ltd, Bahrain Branch and shared with other members of the HSBC Group and how you opt out. Our latest Privacy Notice can be found at www.hsbc.com.bh. To obtain further information on our Privacy Notice, please email us at email@example.com. We want to make it easier for you to find out how we collect, use and protect your information, so we regularly update our Privacy Notices.IMPORTANT: By accessing this website and any of its pages you are agreeing to the terms set out above.
